Pulau Abang's underwater realm boasts a range of biodiversity and marine species. The divers were immediately greeted by schools of colourful fish darting through the waters, from tiny clownfish hiding in anemone to angel fishes gracefully cruising in the currents. Numerous tiny Nudibranchs, coloured in a variety of hues, nestled discreetly amongst the rocks



Colourful Coral Reefs

The coral reefs surrounding Pulau Abang was spectacular, with their intricate formations and vibrant hues. Coral gardens sprawl across the seabed, forming a kaleidoscope of colours that provide shelter and sustenance to a variety of marine creatures


Dive Sites

The optimal weather conditions for diving in Pulau Abang typically occur from March to August during the east wind season, and from September to November during the west wind season. During these periods, the weather tends to be favourable, creating ideal conditions for diving. The sea remains calm, making it comfortable and enjoyable diving experiences



Convenience

One of the most alluring features of Abang Island is its secluded setting, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of mainstream tourism. Embarking on a journey to Pulau Abang offers the perfect retreat for diving enthusiasts. Plus, it's conveniently accessible to Singapore without the need for flights, making it an ideal option for a weekend getaway!



Accessibility

Diving in Pulau Abang, Batam, undoubtedly offers many attractions. However, like any diving destination, there were also downsides and challenges that we encountered during the trip such as accessibility. The travel time from the ferry terminal to the jetty was approximately 1 hour, limiting the number of dives possible in a day
